Tourists in Our Own City

This past weekend was your typical “tourist” weekend.

Day trip to the beach including a scenic walk down the lakeshore, views atop the ferris wheel at Navy Pier, and dinner and drinks riverside to the sparkly skyline.

Early morning trip to the beach for a coffee date with friends in town from Ohio and to watch the sunrise, an attempt at making a time-lapse of said sunrise (better luck next time), and obviously a quick stop at the cupcake at ATM.

Further attempting to master the train system throughout the city, front row to the Judah and the Lion and Ben Rector concert at House of Blues Chicago (quite possibly my favorite HOB that i’ve been to thus far, playing “sports toss” with Ben from on stage, and ending the night with a dance party…. with Ben himself.

All in all, I fall in love with this place more and more each and every day. Oh and if you don’t know Ben Rector… check him out… he is amazing.
